Same problem here. Doorbell registered to another household member, and I bought the echo show to use as a doorbell alert upstairs so we could hear it.
What a waste of money, it doesn't work.
The fact that all alerts work perfectly on my phone as a shared user but not on the echo show as a shared user is total garbage.

Hi @user37221. Yes, you are able to remove the device from your account and have someone else set up the Doorbell to become the owner. This Help Center article will provide you with more details on how to do so. Also, Ring subscriptions will not transfer over to another account, you will have to cancel your subscription for your plan on Ring.com, and the new owner of the Doorbell will have to start a new subscription.

CHi @user_df3dc4. No, only the owner of a Ring device can set up and maintain a subscription for a Ring device. In this situation, you would need to cancel your subscription when removing the doorbell from your account. After the doorbell is set up on your parents' account, a new subscription can be started.
