Hi I have Ring Doorbell 2020 edition. I got it to ring on my phone, but I would be able to hear it within the house. Thanks

It might be a dumb question but do you have a linked Chime inside the house? If no, you need to get one. If yes, there are two options to change the sound: 1. In the “Ring” app go to the “Device Settings “-Notification settings-Linked Chimes- Rings- select the chime and check “Alert you” ( other option is ”do nothing “ you might have this selected now) 2. In the “Ring” app go to the “Device Settings “- In home chime settings-advanced settings- Chime type- select other then “none”

Why would you need to buy a chime?  This feels like it's been deliberately designed to not work as a door bell???  Bit like the rubbish wifi abilities they have.  Not quite designed for the purpose of their use.  

All other doorbells can be heard in a house, why is this one deliberately low?  The delivery people can hear it so think we can too, but we can't so they walk away.

Hi @user_381334. If you provide which specific model of Ring Video Doorbell you have, I can clarify if it can or cannot ring an existing chime kit. Not every model of doorbell has the same features on it. The device name is located on the Device Health page in the Ring app.

I have a 2nd generation video doorbell and chime. Doorbell rings outside but doesn’t ring in the house.

Hi @user_be00a1. What type/model Chime Kit do you have, and what is the voltage rating on the transformer you have? Can you share a photo of how your Chime Kit is wired? If you touch the wires connected to your doorbell terminals, does the doorbell ring? This information will help us get started with troubleshooting.
