Two Floodlight Wired Lights Not Connecting to Bridge (2nd Gen)

I recently installed two new floodlight wired lights and a second generation bridge.  I cannot get the lights to pair with the bridge.  The bridge is online and receiving a good Wi-Fi signal, and I have repositioned it to be as close to the lights as possible (certainly within Bluetooth range.)  I select "Add a New Device" in the app, scan the QR code, but am then prompted to either use Amazon Sidewalk or set-up a new bridge.  I've tried it many times with the same result.  I have followed all the troubleshooting steps to no avail, include a simple reset, a factory reset, power cycling the bridge, power cycling the lights, pushing the side button to enter pairing mode and repositioning the bridge.  I'm stumped.  After a while, the LED light on top of the bridge comes on and stays on.  Does anyone have any other suggestions?  Thank you, Colin

Hi @e876-XXXXXX. The Bridge 2nd Gen is a Sidewalk device. You will need to select Sidewalk when setting up your Smartlight. This will have it connect to your Bridge 2nd Gen.

Thank you, Justin.  I managed to connect it by selecting the Sidewalk option, but how can I confirm it is now connected to my bridge and not Sidewalk?

@e876-XXXXXX. Smart lights, including your Floodlight Wired, now connect to the Ring app via Amazon Sidewalk. As a result, you won't see the Ring app indicate whether it is connected to your Bridge. However, you can check if your smart light has a strong connection to Sidewalk through the app. You can find your smart light's Sidewalk connectivity strength in its Device Health settings.

Justin, thank you for the clarification.  So even if I don't have Sidewalk enabled for neighborhood sharing purposes, Ring uses Sidewalk to help extend Wi-Fi coverage to the lights and ensure a strong signal back to the bridge.  Did I get that right?  Thanks again!

Hi @e876-XXXXXX. Yes, Ring Smart Lights now connect to the Ring app with Amazon Sidewalk, with the Bridge (2nd Gen) providing a Sidewalk network. Since the Bridge (2nd Gen) is providing a Sidewalk network, you are able to connect your Ring Smart Lights to this Sidewalk network, without needing neighborhood sharing enabled. I hope that helps clarify!
