Shared access to Ring Car Cam no longer works

My 1st son had access to car cam until last week as a family member.  My 2nd son wanted access to the car cam, so I deleted 1st son's account and tried to invite 2nd son to give access.  Every time I tried to invite user to give access, I would get "Something went wrong" message.  I tried in Ring app and ring.com website.  Same results.

Tried getting support via chat, but AI bot just gave general solutions.  Reached a live support via phone, but was told because car cam is a discontinued product since 2024, shared access is no longer supported.

I am paying $60 every year to use Ring car cam that I no longer can use.  

Is there someone from Ring company I can contact, so they can add user manually since app won't let me do it anymore?

    Hi @user_cdaf4a. Which country are you located in? Do you have any VPNs active on your phone when using the Ring app? If you're able to, please share a screenshot showing the error message you receive when you try to add a Shared User for the Car Cam.

      I am located in Missouri, USA and I do not use any VPN.  I just tried inviting two sons, including one who had shared access a week ago.  I tried on Ring app and also on windows desktop, but received same error messages.  Both of my sons have their own Ring account.  For the record, I can invite for other cams or doorbell, but not car-cam.  I even tried adding a doorbell and went and tried to add car-cam, but received same error message.  Attached screenshot as requested.

        Hi @user_cdaf4a. Try selecting the Car Cam in the Ring app, then navigating to Shared Access and following the steps to add a Shared User. Do you get the error in this screen as well?

      Yes, I tried many times from main menu setting and also tried inviting user from shared access option from car cam from Ring app.  I always get the same error message. I also tried uninstalling the ring app and installing again.  Same error messages.

        @user_cdaf4a Thank you for trying that. Since you're still getting this error message, I would recommend following up with our support team @Ring on Facebook, X, or Instagram. They can take a closer look at what might be causing this issue on the back end.
