Ring Doorbell phantom rings
troubleshooting
Hi All,
I have had a ring doorbell for 5 years maybe. All good. Last night at just gone midnight it started ringing but no one was there pressing it. Slightly spooky. I disconnected it from the chime so I could sleep but it’s still doing this. Battery status is good. I see other people on a google search have had this issue. Anyone found a solution please ?

Hi @user_552b1d. Does the button on the device show any signs of excessive wear? If so, this may be the cause. Also, check the terminals on your doorbell, chime kit and transformer. If the wires are loose, it might be causing your phantom rings. Let me know what you find.
