No drill mount- which one do I need for Ring Battery Video Doorbell 2K (newest gen)?
Hi,
I am looking to buy a battery ring video door bell and a no drill mount.
These are not available together as a package on either Ring or the Amazon Ring store. It appears I can buy both items from Ring store on Amazon uk separately. The mount is listed as suitable only for 2026 newest generation models. The doorbell on Amazon is described as "the newest model" but does not give a year- further described as "Ring Battery Video Doorbell 2K (newest gen), DIY Wireless Doorbell Camera, Retinal 2K, 6x Zoom, Night Vision, Easy to install".
However the pictures of the mount on Ring website with two pieces of white tape visable on the outwards face of the mount (when sold as a package with the doorbell) and Amazon stand alone entry, with no visable tape and a plastic tab at the bottom, to hook and secure the bell, are different.
Can anyone explain which no drill mount I need for the Ring Battery doorbell (described above) currently retailing at £79.99 on Amazon?
Many thanks,
Carolyn

Hi @user_86fbe6. Correct, the Battery Doorbell (2nd Gen) was renamed to the Battery Doorbell 2K. It is still the same device, so any accessories that are listed as being compatible with the Battery Doorbell (2nd Gen) will work.

I think I've answered my own question! The doorbell on Amazon listed as "2K (newest generation)" is the renamed second generation wireless ring which uses a mount listed as "Video Doorbell (2nd Gen)" not that advertised as "2026 newest generation". Confused? I hope I'm not anymore.
