Hi - mine is exactly the same and I cant figure out why so I'm hoping someone will be able to help us. I've just had the police at the door about a burglary across the road and they said my Ring camera is showing as lighting up but there was no video when I checked it. They also said they'd called earlier today when I was out, again, nothing on my feed.

Hi @user_d6caee. Motion detection issues are typically best resolved by adjusting the motion settings. It's also important to ensure the Doorbell has a strong wifi signal with sufficient speeds. If the Doorbell doesn't have sufficient upload speed, this can cause issue with video recording and uploading.
After verifying a good signal and speed, try expanding your Motion Zones to cover more of the walkway to your front door. Turning the Motion Sensitivity and Motion Frequency up were also good troubleshooting steps to take.
Keep in mind that the RIng Doorbell is designed to detect and notify you of activity at your door. Events that happen further out, such as in the street or across the street, are less likely to be detected. If you've tried the suggested troubleshooting steps and are still having problems with motion detection at your door, our support team can provide further assistance.
