Dead battery and not charging
My ring doorbell gen 2 battery completely died and will not charge. I did everything that was recommended and nothing. Just the white circle continuously. I called support and they tried to help me and then said because I let the battery completely die the doorbell is basically trash. The doorbell worked perfectly before this. I had just been extremely busy to charge it with my fiancé in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. I just can’t believe my ring doorbell is now no good because the battery completely died? Please tell me I got the wrong information and I can still get it to work. Thank you.

Hi @user_0115cc. It sounds like there might have been some miscommunication when you contacted support. The battery draining would not cause the Ring Doorbell to become unresponsive. Make sure you're charging it with the provided charging cable plugged into a standard power outlet for about 8 hours. You can also reset the Doorbell by holding down the setup button for 20 seconds. Once the reset is done, try walking through a new setup in the Ring app using the steps under Set Up a Device.
