Why cant i turn my mechanical indoor chime off when i want?

When installing my ring door bell i was asked if i wanted to avtivate my indoor mecanical doorbell. I said yes thinking i could turn it off if necessary. It appears there is no function to turn it off. I find this very strange as it was obviuosly easy to control through set up so why is there not an icon to switch it on and off.

Hi @user74650. Our latest Doorbells have the option to disable your pre-existing chime from ringing with your Doorbell. Follow these steps to find this setting:
