What a rip-off
You clearly state that the protect plan is required to store and review video historyBut once the trial ends it is not possible to even view live video from the push notificationWhat a waste of money, I will not recommend Ring to anyone and will spread the word

Finding out ring is anripoff . I bought the home security package that just covers doors and window and motion. I have no doorbell cameras or internal cameras in my system. I found out that I am unable to arm and unarmed my system from the app unless I get a subscription. They have a basic subscription for 4.99 a month, and you would think that would allow you to remotely arm and disarm the system from the app, but it doesn’t. To simply arm and unarmed the system you must buy the second tier plan for 9.99 a month. This is a ripoff for people that don’t care about all the camera stuff that is bundled in this plan. Sorry I didn’t look into this more

Hi @DaveB11. You are correct, you do need a Ring Protect Plan to store and view previously recorded videos. You are still able to Live View the Doorbell at anytime. When viewing the Live View, make sure that you are selecting the most recent notification. If you are selecting an older notification, you could receive an error. I hope this information helps!
