Ring app update on Apr 15 2025 drops support for all iPhones older than iPhone 11

Latest Ring app requires ios 17, which is only available for iPhone 11 or later. The existing app will not run until updated, thus suddenly depriving all users of older iPhones from accessing their Ring doorbells. Tech support had no solution to offer.

At this time, the Ring app requires your phone to be running at least iOS 17 or Android 9. If your phone does not meet those requirements, you may not be able to install the Ring app, or some features may not work as expected.
