Im having the exact same problem my 2gen ring door bell only works plugged into the usb

Hi @user_0f40ec. The Video Doorbell 2nd Gen should only be plugged in to charge the battery. It can take up to 8 hours to fully charge the battery. Try resetting the Doorbell by holding down the setup button for 20 seconds. After the reset is done, walk through a new setup in the Ring app using the steps under Set Up a Device. If the Doorbell is still unresponsive when unplugged from the charger, please follow up with our support team @Ring on Facebook, X, or Instagram for further assistance.
