In 2022, the first gen doorbell broke so we bought another one. We added it to our address and linked it to the exterior garage camera.The only change we made was that we went from an annual plan to a monthly plan.In my account settings, under billing it only showed the monthly subscription.We set most bills to automatically draft to make things easier. My wife and I completely missed that our annual plan was not discontinued when we selected the monthly. For three years we’ve paid double although we’ve only ever had the two devices.This came to my attention when I saw another location under our account. It didn’t have any devices but it was drawing an annual fee.It was our neighbors address. I thought it was strange so I deleted the location and immediately received a prorated refund which puzzled me. That’s how I found out I was paying double for three years.Support didn’t help. They said I accidentally added my neighbors address. That’s completely illogical. We’re not some tech novices. We also have only ever operated devices at this location. Our house of over a decade.I’m going to search for others who’ve had this happen. I actually went to my account after finding out about the hack about 6 weeks ago that added connected devices to many users accounts.
