Setup Outdoor Cam Plus

Hi all, I just got one of the new Outdoor Cam Plus cameras (it identifies as a Stick up cam if that matters). I had no trouble setting it up, as I have had a Ring Doorbell/camera for ~ 5 years. I set everything up to be max sensitivity, until I see how it works. The picture is gorgeous, and a very wide angle! I have it on a battery pack, as is my Ring doorbell. So it appears I have to rely on motion detection not continuously on. However - I get no detection/video recordings at all! I turned off Smart Motion detection as it advised me to, if I was missing events. The only thing I can think of, is it's at a window to look outside. There is no screen, just a single glass pane. Is that why it detects nothing? Or is something else wrong? Thanks for your help!
