Cam online but can't connect.

Installed a new ring outdoor cam. Shows as online, but : preview unavailable, live view will keep "loading" until "can't connect". RSSI -43. Same result if cam placed just next to the rooter. So network issue can be excluded. Both cam and rooter rebooted multiples times, to no avail. Ring Floodlight cam on same network works fine. Could it be a hardware fault ?

    Hi @user_ac2f27. Does this also happen when you Live View from Ring.com? Do you have an active VPN on your phone? Does this happen on wifi of cellular data? This will give me information on how to troubleshoot this.

      no vpn. does it whether on phone (app) or desktop (ring.com). On the phone it does it in both wifi and 5G. So it seems to be on the cam's end.

    i’m having the same issue. online, close to the wifi AP. multiple other rings devices further away, no live preview or recording with only a single frame.

        HI @user_ac2f27. Thank you for providing those answers. Please try checking your router security settings, as this may be a firewall or port issue. If the firewall settings are too high, or the correct ports aren't open on your router, this can cause issues with your Ring devices.           tried different settings there as well. makes no difference. Also : why would the ring floodlight cam work but not the stick up cam, on those same settings ?
