Upgraded my plan from Basic to Standard; Credit card refund going to a stolen credit card
I just got off the phone with support and upgraded my plan from Basic to Standard. I pay yearly, which was in September. So I still have 7 months on my service before it is due to renew. They charged the yearly for the new plan and said they would give me a credit for the other one. Sounds good. However, I asked how they would refund and was told to the credit card I paid that subscription in September. Unfortunately as I told them someone stole the credit card and the company replaced it. So refunding to that card would not be good. The agent asked me if my new card was with the same bank. Answer: Yes. So the solution is once Ring refunds my money to a card that was stolen, I need to call the credit card company and let them know that there are some funds to my previous card and I need them to move to my current credit card. WHAT??!! Ring is a security company. They must know in this day and age that stolen credit card numbers is so commonplace. This is not a good practice.

Hi @user_024833. That is correct, you will need to contact your financial institution whenever funds are sent to a closed account. A refund cannot be sent to a different payment method than the one that was originally used.
