Random $49.99 Ring Solo Charge
I have had ring constantly since 2019. I pay for the $9.99/mo plan. This month, my $9.99 charge went through, then two days later a charge of $49.99 for RING SOLO PLAN posted to my card. The first agent I talked to said this was a glitch with deactivated devices automatically renewing for a year, but he wasn't able to correct it. The 2nd agent said he found the charge by looking up the credit number and he needed to work with an offline department to resolve it. He was going to call back after, I never heard back. The 3rd agent I talked to sounded completely incompetant and wouldn't esclate to a supervisor and he suggested I report the charge as fraudulant to my bank. Bascially putting all the work on me and leaving me in limbo for months. I had him cancel my Ring account complelely out of frustration, he didn't care one bit. Zero empathy for issue I didn't cause, after nearly 7 years of customer loyalty.
Is this normal? Has anyone else had to deal with this nonsense?

Thank you for the reply, I did manage to speak with someone on the US team the following day. He was able to apply a trial to my account while this was investigated. I haven't heard back yet, but he said it might take a while. I have a 90 trial in place right now. It might be worth noting, after I had the one rep cancel my account, I did receive 2 account cancellation emails too. It does look like its what the first rep had suggested, that a glitch caused nn offline device to renew its service with an annual plan on its own account, with duplicate email, billing, etc.
