Live view reconnect What The heck

What is this Stone Age I mean we have tablets that has like 50 gigs of space a thing the size of your fingernail. But we cannot have a continuous view of our front porch. I see these advertisements all the time where somebody comes up on the front porch and take something. If this thing's not recording how does it capture them if I'm sitting in my house with my tablet and the view of my backyard why do I have to keep hitting reconnect. Blink does it. Is ring not supposed to be on the cutting edge? I'm not buying a subscription through ring to me it's useless. Until they can get it to where I can watch what's going on or somebody coming up my walk I can see it happening live out of the corner of my eye it's no good to me. I wish I had ran this thing in my house for a little while before I put it on the front porch and one on the back of the house just a waste of time. Sure it gives me an alert saying there is a person at my front door. I go look at the video and I see that there is a bird or something of that nature. But why should I have to get up and go tap on the tablet to see what's going on in the front porch could it not just come on and show me what's on the front porch when it thinks there's a person on the front porch. Even that would be better than me having to tap the screen or go get the tablet I've got a thing hanging on the wall so I can just look up and see it. But you can't run it through your computer yeah has to run through a device that's either Android or apple. Heck for pain make it easy if it thinks there's something there turn the app back on. Or let the app run all the time and record only when it thinks there's something there. Or are the programmers really that lazy.
