Design Suggestion: Preventing Finger Pinching on Ring Pro 2 Housing
Hi all,I wanted to share a funny (but slightly painful) experience and a potential design improvement for the Ring Pro 2. While helping my mom troubleshoot her Ring device, I noticed an issue with the bevel design on the top of the housing. When unscrewing the top screw with a screwdriver just shy of the size of the hole ( maybe around1/4 inch in diameter?), I accidentally got my finger pinched in the gap created by the screwdriver shaft and the housing while quickly unscrewing it. The gap was just big enough for the skin of my finger to get caught, and unfortunately, it broke the skin as it got pulled into the recess for the screw. To address this, I’d suggest:Increasing the bevel angle on the top housing to reduce the gap.Adding a bridge across the top of the housing to prevent fingers from rolling into the recess entirely.I realize this might be a rare issue (maybe 1 in 1,XXXXXXXXXX people or maybe more...), but for the clumsier among us, it could save some discomfort. 😊Thanks for considering this idea—just thought it might help improve the user experience and safety.
