Two Ring Cameras fail to pick up and record Deer
troubleshooting

This morning a Buck mule tail deer was grazing below my Ring floodlight camera on the cabin maybe 10 feet away and 30 feet away from my stickup outside camera pointed toward the floodlight camera. He spent about 5 minutes grazing right under the floodlight camera and then moseyed off slowly toward the other camera and across the property in plain view of the floodlight camera all the way. The point being neither camera caught anything. They both had recorded my dog returning to the cabin less than 20 minutes earlier so it isn't like the cameras weren't working earlier. Can someone please explain how that can happen? I've had it before where one camera will catch the deer, but the other will not. This could be a serious problem if I was concerned about capturing an intruder for example.

Hello,It sounds frustrating when your cameras miss capturing wildlife! This could be due to motion detection settings or camera positioning. Try increasing the motion sensitivity and ensuring the cameras have a clear view without obstructions. dollar tree compassBest Regards,Gary Byers
