2 Ring Floodlight Wired devices not connecting to bridge

I just had 2 floodlight wired devices installed and I am unable to get either one of them to connect to the Ring bridge.

I have tried removing the bridge from the app and resetting the bridge, moving the bridge close to the devices, standing close to the devices with my phone, rebooting my phone. Each time it gets to 95%, I get a pop up from Alexa saying its added and then the Ring app displays a "something went wrong" message with the only option to be try again. Wash, rinse, repeat for both devices.

I checked my event history and it appears to get "added to system" and then "removed from system" right away each time. What would cause that?

Well, thinking this was a problem with the gen 1 bridge I had a gen2 bridge delivered today. I went through setup no problem, removed the gen1 bridge from my account but now when I go to add my lights the only option I get is to use Amazon Sidewalk, I do not get the prompt to link to the bridge. I have Amazon Sidewalk turned off on my account, but does the gen2 bridge require that to function? I was hoping it would operate independently of Sidewalk.

Hi @user_f61361. You should be able to set up your Smart Lights with your Bridge 2nd Gen without using Sidewalk. Have you double-checked that you set up the Bridge in the correct location? You could have a duplicate location and set it up on the location that has no devices. Also, are you using iOS or Android? Can you share a screenshot of where you are not seeing your Bridge as an option?

Thanks @Justin_Ring. I only have one location. I do see the 2nd Gen Bridge in my device list but when I go into the device all see is General Settings and Device Health. This is unlike the 1st Gen Bridge that also has a "Smart Lights" option. Where I don't see the option for the Bridge (and 1st Gen Bridge is removed) is during the smart light set up. I scan the code, it finds the device and then instead of asking if I want to link to a bridge, it asks me if I want to use Amazon Sidewalk or set up a new bridge. I am on iOS, sorry no screenshot right now as I don't have the QR codes handy at the moment to attempt a setup.
