I know there are alot of these posts in Virgin and Ring forums, I've read pretty much all of them but I'll give it a go here...Got delivery of my new VM Hub5 yesterday, hooked it up, every single device in the house is happy except the Ring doorbell. I ended up removing the device from my app, and installing it as a brand new device setup. Spent 45 mins on the phone to a helpful, but not vey technical, ring support person today. Lots of deleing the app, resetting factory settings, turn it off and on type of stuff. Ultimately it gets to the point where it tries to connect to my wifi, and the app says which of these four things is your doorbell doing (flashing white right, white left, white uppe, nothing)? Well, actually it is circling blue lights at that point, and it's game over as far as the setup wizard is concerned and you're in a cycle of trying it all again. So, diving into Virgin Media tech...Got to the hub route advanced settings, split the wifi into two SSIDs with the 2.4ghz one named separately, and with 'smart' channel management disabled. Am trying it all over again but still have no luck getting the ring to link. The router shows it as connected to the hub, via the 2.4Ghz SSID i set up, but the set up routine in the App never completes, and now i've just got an expensive but quiet doorbell and thinking of just going to a Blink doorbell for the sake of my sanity...anyone think I've missed a step pls?
