THi @user_d40bb1. What specific doorbell model do you have? What is the problem that you are having? Is your device battery operated or hardwired?

Hi,
I recently had a similar problem with a wired Ring doorbell that continually flashed, tried all the suggestions here to no avail, finally I removed it physically and took the back off to discover water had made its way in, I put t on a warm ( not hot!!) radiator for an hour then left it on a window sill for a day, I tried again and a it worked straightaway , when I put the back cover back on I ran a very thin line of clear silicone sealant along the orange seal inside and along the outside where it joins, once refitted at my front door i ran some more clear sealant around the whole lot but keeping well clear of the camera and push button. Been fine ever since but I am considering buying a weatherproof cover.

UThanks for the friendly advice and potential solutions. However, a doorbell camera should be built to withstand high humidity—especially in places like Florida. It's not unreasonable to expect that. On average, these devices seem to last about two years on a Florida porch, which is disappointing. After posting this, I’ll be looking to switch brands. Ring, you really need to step it up. I'm paying for a yearly subscription only to receive random clips of branches moving—meanwhile, cars and people pass by undetected. And yes, before anyone chimes in: I’ve adjusted every sensitivity and motion zone setting until my thumbs went numb. I used to laugh at those radio commercials where burglars intentionally skip houses with Ring systems. Now I understand why so many people are frustrated. Between the inconsistent performance and the overpriced subscription, it’s just not worth it. I get that some customers prioritize a user-friendly interface over robust security, but I chose Ring expecting both. That was the promise. At this point, even for a non-techie like me, it’d probably be more reliable to just set up a few 8K PoE cameras with a solid-state drive and link them to a low-cost or free cloud backup (Proton, Microsoft, Google, Dropbox—the options are endless). Five thumbs down 👎 for Ring’s products and services. The only positive experience I’ve had is with your U.S.-based call center—some of the techs there actually knew what they were doing and helped "unfreeze" my account after it was compromised. Hackers exploited weaknesses in the user interface, Eero, and Amazon integrations to hijack my entire family's digital footprint across a 10-mile radius. Seriously. So no, I’m not uninstalling my unit just to squirt silicone into it and rig up some ugly DIY fix on top of paying for it. I'd rather spend 10x more upfront on a system that actually works, lasts, and delivers what it promises. Kind regards, FRUSTY RATED
