Solar (UN)powered Doorbell !
HOW MUCH CHARGE SHOULD THE DOORBELL BATTERY CREATE WITH 12HOURS SOLID UNBROKEN SUNSHINE? It is fitted south facing in full sun. The battery was at 30% this morning and is now just 33% with no activity other than me walking out this morning and coming home this evening. After 3 months I complained about the same issue and had a replacement solar panel sent out. the old one was returned. The battery AND solar charger were replaced with new 1st January My recent replacement solar panel has only managed 3% charge today and has not managed any more over the last 20 days. The settings are mostly default with the exception of the privacy screening With this regularity of failure I consider the solar charging panel to be unfit for purpose and a bit of a scam sale. As it seems I have to replace it and the battery every 3 months. Happy to hear your thoughts & advice Mark

Hi @user_0f3b5f. Ring Solar Chargers and Solar Panels can provide a trickle charge to your connected Ring device's battery. This rate of charging is not as fast as when you plug the battery into a standard power outlet with the provided charging cable. The panel also needs at least 4 hours of direct sunlight per day to provide this trickle charge. Indirect sunlight is not sufficient. If you're continuing to experience issues with the solar charger, I'd recommend following up with our support team, as you've already received a replacement.
