Ring wired doorbell just chimes by the front door even though I dont have a chime device

Hi AllFirst time post, thank you to everyone who contributes on this forum. I have been researching the issue that I have got to see if I can find some helpful information. I recently installed a ring wired doorbell, however the doorbell was chiming loudly when there is motion in front of it, at this point I dont have a chime device internally, all I want to do is get motion alerts on my phone when someone is by the door.It chimes the popular ring tone randomly when someone is by the door, because its outside it wakes up my neighbours and the situation is not ideal. I look forward to reading about what can be done about the situation.Thanks.
