Play with the zone and sensitivity adjustments. Also try "people only mode".

Yep.... easy fix. Funny how it was ringing every couple of minutes, but all is good.

I have a similar problem. My home is on a hill overlooking a busy street. My Ring Doorbell 2 is mliunted using the angle wedge. I cannot stop it from sending alerts for traffic motion, especially for large vehicles like garbage trucks or snow plows, even if I pull back the blue active zone almost as far as possible. I don't see any "people only" option.

I finally got it right and not picking up all the other movements that set the ring off. It took a while, but after courageously playing around with the options it’s all good.
