Moved into home with existing equipment
Hi,
I just moved into a home with existing equipment and I have some questions about getting it set-up and into my name. Here is the kicker: the house we moved into was of an elderly woman with dementia, so we have no way of contacting her to get the Ring info deactivated from her account. We don't have the contact information of any family members either.
We have one doorbell unit (not sure which one yet). I am unclear on whether the battery is working or not and I am not sure how to check.
We also have two camera/floodlight systems. One above the garage and another that's in our four seasons room - there are several doorwalls, so it makes sense to have it there too.
My questions are:
- What do I need to do to get these devices transferred into my Ring account, especially considering that I do not have access to the owner?
- How do I check the battery of the Ring camera?
- The garage flood light still turns on with motion, but only one of the lights. Can these lights burn out? How do I know whether it's burnt out or if the setting was just lowered on the app.
Thanks in advance!

Hi @user_0a60f6. You can find information on how to transfer ownership of a Ring device in this Help Center article. Information like battery percentage is available in the Ring app after setting up a device under your account. Keep in mind that you'll need to physically access the devices in order to initiate the device ownership transfer process. I'd suggest beginning with this process before looking into troubleshooting the Floodlight Cam.
