Live View instantly ends only for my owner account on one doorbell
I’m hoping someone has seen this before.
I have a Ring Doorbell and an Indoor Cam. My Indoor Cam works perfectly, but my Front Door doorbell won’t open Live View on my iPhone.
When I tap Live View, it immediately says “Live View Ended” without even trying to connect.
Here’s what’s confusing:
- I’m the owner of the Ring account.
- Live View worked for a short time after setup, then suddenly stopped.
- I can still view recorded events from the doorbell.
- Live View works on Ring.com with my owner account.
- Live View works on my iPad using the same owner account.
- Live View also works on my partner’s phone.
- My Indoor Cam Live View works normally on my iPhone.
- Doorbell RSSI is -40 (excellent signal).
I’ve already tried:
- Deleting and reinstalling the Ring app.
- Logging out and back in.
- Restarting my iPhone.
- Resetting Network Settings.
- Resetting All Settings.
- Confirming iOS is up to date.
- Testing on both Wi-Fi and cellular.
The only combination that doesn’t work is my iPhone + Front Door Live View in the Ring app.
Has anyone experienced this or found a fix? It feels like an app-specific issue since the same account works on my iPad and Ring.com.

Hi @user_f5d98f. What specific doorbell model is this? Can you share a screen recording of this happening? Do you have a VPN on your device? I see you haven't tried restarting your doorbell. To do this, take off the Faceplate and press and hold the setup button for 30 seconds, then release and reconnect it to wifi. Let me know this information so I can look into this better.
