Is there a way to "turn off" my ring doorbell?

- THi, I tried this solution. I have one of the internal battery doorbells. Even after disabling motion, and even after my RING is no longer wired to the house, the doorbell is still "on" with a glowing light. Tapping it rings it etc. How does one completely turn it off, so that it doesn't just sit idle and run out the battery while it is in storage?•

- TDang that's a drag. Elsewhere I see that draining the battery can result in errors. Well, I guess I don't have a choice so I'll take chances. In any even, that's for confirming my fear ;)•

I can't believe that after so much time RING is unable to provide an answer to this. So many Reddit threads and YT videos, but zero answers for the RING 2'bd Gen Battery Doorbells. Yes, the version where the battery can't be taken out. Pressing for 30 or more seconds on any of the two buttons does nothing...well, the ring turns from white in blue for a while, but then it gets back to white pulsing.
