Hi @user9768. We typically recommend for your Ring Floodlight Cam to be no more than about 20 to 25 feet away from your wifi router at most. We have more information on wii and how you can improve your wifi signal in our Help Center Article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020044511-How-to-Make-Wifi-Work-For-You). You may need to put the Floodlight Cam in a different location that is closer to your wifi router, or see if there's a way you can extend your wifi network. I hope this information helps! :)

It's hard to imagine that a floodlight camera would ever be 20-25 feet from the router in most homes. How can I ensure connectivity if my garage door (where I need the spotlight camera)is 50 feet from the router?

Hi @user_652bff. I can't guarantee connectivity because each location is different, and there are various objects that could interfere with the Wi-Fi signal. If one of your Ring devices has a weak signal strength, I propose utilizing a Wi-Fi extender (Chime Pro or any third-party Wi-Fi extender). If you have many devices that are experiencing poor signal strength, consider upgrading your router to a mesh network.
