Ring indoor cam - detect motion without recording video?
I'd like to be able to use my indoor cameras as motion detectors (for Alexa triggers) but not record video when in Disarmed or Home mode. Is this possible?

    Hi @\_pete. There is no way for you to unlink the Motion Detection/Recording features of the Indoor Cam. These are integrated with another and disabling one will disable the other. You can always set the recording to [automatically delete](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360047871752-Understanding-and-Adjusting-Your-Video-Storage-Time-) after a day if you choose.
