Ring Doorbell 2 not staying charged
I have a plugged-in power source for my camera. It shows the "Power Source" is "Hardwired", so I know it sees the power. But, the battery will run down over a period of time and eventually hit zero and the camera stops working. This camera has a removeable battery, so I got a 2nd one and keep it charged and swap it out for the one in the camera when it runs low.
My 2nd camera is an basic Ring Doorbell that does not have a removeable battery and it is also on a hardwired power source. It always shows 100%, so I never have a problem with it running low or going offline.
Why doesn't my Ring 2 stay charged even though it is hardwired to a power source?

I have two of the same powering my two doorbells. The other one works fine. And this one works - the unit acknowledges it is Hardwired.

J@user_e50a54. We do not recommend using third-party adapters with our doorbells, as they can lead to unpredictable outcomes, such as in your case where some work and others don't. These adapters can also potentially damage your doorbell. For optimal performance, we recommend using the Ring Plug-In Adapter specifically designed for your doorbell. Additionally, it's important to note that if your area is experiencing very cold weather conditions, this can also affect battery life, even if the doorbell is hardwired.

Thanks for the suggestion. I purchased the Ring Plug-in adaptor you suggested. I installed it and after a day or so, the charge level has dropped from 95% to 85%, so while it says "Hardwired" it is not charging.
Why would it not be charging?

Hi @user_e50a54. What sort of plugged-in power source are you using for your Doorbell 2? Is it a third-party device?
