Much shorter battery life for all my ring devices

What has changed since June? I have two ring devices, a front yard Ring 2 doorbell camera and a backyard stick-up camera. Both run on genuine Ring batteries. I used to get a solid 3 months per charge. Now, for both devices, I'm getting at most 2 weeks on a charge. I just bought 2 replacement batteries, thinking both of my old ones suddenly stopped being able to hold a charge, but still the same issue. I didn't change any of the motion settings for either device, still using all recommended settings. I am not experiencing weak network connectivity. Was this the result of a defective firmware upgrade?

Hi @user_bc026c. Extreme weather temperatures can affect battery life as well. https://ring.com/support/articles/6nmmg/ring-devices-and-extreme-temperatures. Sometime around the beginning of August, that battery life for all of my Ring devices (front doorbell and backyard camera) got much, much better. What was an approximately 2 week cycle is now more like 4 months. Although I can't prove it, I'm convinced these changes were the result of firmware updates automatically downloaded to my devices. In any case, I'm grateful the issue appears to have been resolved.
