Ring app timeline scrolling momentarily goes full frame when starting event
event-history-timeline

Since a recent Ring app update (maybe Jul/Aug 2025) on Android, timeline scrolling has introduced a fault whereby the image momentarily goes full frame when starting to show an event. If you are zoomed in to a portion of the image and scrolling the timeline, all snapshots and events should always show the same desired view portion of the frame. Before the recent update this worked fine. However since the recent update, when the timeline scrolls into the start of an event video, the image momentarily changes to be full frame ignoring the desired view portion of the frame. This is very jarring and makes it difficult to scan the history especially when there are many events. Please can this fault be corrected?

Hi, I'm using the latest version of the Ring App available to me which is 3.90.0 on Android 16 on my Google Pixel 9 Pro. The fault has been present since around Jul/Aug 2025. I've made available an example screen recording showing how the timeline image goes full frame everytime it enters an event: https://1drv.ms/v/c/1b2c55e992e943f8/Ecm1cn7KI6tBpg_iSreK930BjDeiwvHo7RBjamCtKxyFaQ?e=0foGJW Thanks, Andrew
