Ring battery doorbell 3 WiFi issues
Originally had the ring battery doorbell 2 that's now discontinued. The device I had was still less than a year old and developed a fault. Ring replaced it and upgraded to the doorbell 3 with the new camera. Due to the 2nd gen not being available anymore. With the old doorbell I used a eero6+ mesh booster to give it good signal. I have full eero setup with mesh. Had one placed in the window to give the doorbell a good signal (live in a block of flats on ground floor but it's still solid concrete walls in-between.) That always worked perfectly and signal never went above -60 so 95% of the time was always green with no issues. Since the new doorbell 3 signal I can't get below -60 sometimes as high as -90 and red. Kept the setup exactly the same where the old doorbell had perfect signal, still no improvements or very little. Repositioned the mesh booster in every place possible, it's back in the window where it's a clear path to the door, every advanced settings is off meaning 0 compatibility issues. Same results on pure 2.4g. contacted ring who didn't want to no a thing . All I got was purchase a chime pro that'll sort it. Which I then explained it wasn't on, I had a fully working setup until an issue through no fault of mine, they sent me the new version which I'm having issues with. I didn't choose to upgrade it I understand it's because there not sending out old versions anymore. That's still not my fault. You can't have something go faulty, replaced under warranty but you need to spend money to now get it working. If I'd of known the issues I'd of said don't send me a replacement keep it. All I get is we don't send out free products you need to purchase a ring pro. So if you ever find a fault that's rings fault be prepared to still have to pay to get it back working despite the warranty. This is despite having the ring intercom system that certainly wasn't cheap and took some installing, and having issues with that. Had to have a replacement of that last week also! Still issues. That resulted in despite the intercom system still having to use a video doorbell. I've read alot of posts regarding issues with the eero devices and ring devices. Funny that, when it's all Amazon. Ring is an absolute joke I've tried raising a complaint you don't get anywhere. Trading standards will be my next call

Yes immense issues I've actually taken it down. If it wasn't for having the ring intercom also to control my communal intercom door id of swapped ages ago.constant missed calls, missed motion. To the point I've missed people and or packages. Ring even confirmed themselves the massive packet loss and disconnecting from internet many times. Ring fully agreed with the signal etc and point blank said if you want it to work you'll have to purchase a ring pro. Now as far as I'm aware that's against consumer rights. My previous doorbell worked perfectly ring also verified that when replacing, no losses at all even the app constantly shown a perfect green rsi between 50 and 60. The issue was with the battery that's why they replaced it under warranty. Due to the discontinuation I ended up with the 3 and from the start missing calls packet loss. Despite the exact setup as the previous doorbell so WiFi mesh in the exact place in the window where the previous doorbell worked perfectly. Regardless of that I've moved the mesh in every place possible and can't get anything remotely stable for it to be functional. Again ring customer service advisor confirmed all of this and point blank refused any help refused to log a complaint said it wasn't possible then refused to pass me to a manager. Laughed and said "were not in to giving out free products" and hung up! Product I purchased I had working exactly as intended then through no fault of mine it was faulty and needed replacing. Consumer rights swapped for an like for like or an upgrade if that product is no longer available, however the replacement needs to be able to function the same way as the item being replaced " and it doesn't!! It's unusable I can't keep it up and people pressing it getting no answer because nothing has called and me missing them. I have 2 Alex's devices , 1 mobile and a fire TV. They are all set to call when ring doorbell is pressed. Not one single device rings and it isn't even there in history. So I no someone's pressed it, yet hasn't acknowledged it even in the ring app. I have it for security and accessibility reasons but again at present it's on my dining room table

Hi @user69112. Have you been experiencing any specific issues with the Video Doorbell 3? The RSSI is a measure of the wifi signal strength, and can be useful when troubleshooting connectivity related issues. If your doorbell is working properly, then you do not need to worry about what RSSI number you're seeing. We're happy to offer troubleshooting guidance once we have more information on what the problem is.
