- B@Joc1 Although you have it wired in the Doorbell 3 is still a battery operated device. The hard wired part just charges the battery. You will find in general that the fully mains powered devices like the wired doorbell or the Pro/Pro2/Elite are much faster. The way they detect motion is a bit different and also there is no "wake up" period like the battery devices.•

SI have the gen 2 2020 battery, not hardwired at all and my notifications are about 1-2 seconds. Notifications in the context he had described are network dependent. If @Joc1 was saying it only records once people are walking away, then that's a different issue.•2

- JHi @RabbyDabby. You can also try [rebooting your Ring device from the Ring app](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/7438395032980-Rebooting-your-Ring-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera-). Rebooting your router by unplugging it for a few seconds and plugging it back in could also help. If you have tried these steps additional steps and are still having the same concern, give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406#callus) for further assistance. If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.•
