We understand your concern. We would like to provide some clarification around Community Requests. Last year we announced that Ring has partnered with Axon to bring Community Requests to Ring Neighbors in line with our mission of making neighborhoods safer, and later we shared that we're expanding Community Requests to work with additional trusted public safety agencies using Flock Safety’s Nova platform or FlockOS.

Community Requests is a privacy-protected service that enables local public safety agencies to make public requests for assistance through certified tools they use. Federal Agencies (including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) cannot make requests for videos through Community Requests. This feature is designed for local public safety agencies only. No videos are shared with local public safety agencies through Community Request unless a customer chooses to do so. These requests appear on the Neighbors feed.

Participation is completely optional and voluntary, and public safety agencies cannot see who received notifications or who chose not to respond. Videos are only shared if you, the customer, choose to share them. If a customer prefers not to even see these posts in their Neighbors Feed, they can opt out while still receiving other neighborhood updates.

I just found out about this, and I cancelled my subscription immediately and bought a Eufy camera. I am utterly appalled that Ring would share personal info so families can be kidnapped. Shame on you, Ring!

This is terrible. Ring needs to tell people what they are doing or what they are not doing with videos. 
I do not want my footage used to assist ICE. I have relied on my Ring Cameras, but will change them if they are helping ICE.
