Hi @Gigi76. Typically we recommend that the Ring Alarm system be used all within the same building. In the case of detached garages or sheds, it's more difficult to ensure that the sensors maintain a reliable and strong connection with the Base Station, as the materials in the walls as well as the distance will cause interference. However, if you have a detached garage and you want to add a bit of security, you can see if one of our Security Cameras will do the trick, as several models have a siren that you can activate to deter unwanted visitors.
