Hello,

I can do live view, and get "disturbance" notifications, so I know it's not a service/WiFi issue but this thing stopped recording driving events some time ago and I'm recently finding out about it, since I really don't check unless there's a reason. I've disconnected and reconnecting back doesn't yield positive results.

Same issue here. I really hope Ring hasn't been charging me $120 per year for 2 cameras that don't work

Same. Both of mine stopped recording driving events.  Did you find a solution?

Its a bug in the app. You can still find your drive recordings on the web interface. I just found this out. The app will say your device lost connection and didnt record the event. But the drive event will be fully available on the web interface.

Thanks for the "fix". I'm able to see my driving recording via the Ring web site. One would think Ring would know the app is screwed up and not showing driving smh.

However, I found using Microsoft Windows 11 that you cannot log in using Google Chrome because the six-digit pin fails. You have to use Microsoft edge to log in. But Microsoft edge doesn't support HEIC codec.

Any suggestions. Ring your third-party call center support is terrible on this.

          1. They don't know anything about the car. Cam.

          2. they don't know about this issue.

          2. they tell you to log in using Chrome which doesn't work on the six-digit pin authentication

          4. They don't know how the heic codec works and how to get it working under Windows.

So you end up spending half an hour and an hour of time. Having somebody not understand what you're saying, not understand the product not understand the issue and telling you false information.

Ring please step up to the plate. Get your call centers fixed. Own your issues please. We want to like you but you make it so that we hate you.

Thank you. Wish I knew this before I went through resetting my camera as I couldn't find any of the footage I was actually trying to pull up which is now gone because I had to reset it.

Hi @user_414831. If you have a Car Cam with the Ring Protect Go subscription, you can download your Car Cam videos from the Ring app by following these steps.
