Why can’t I enable the microphone on my ring doirbell

Hi, I’ve recently had my ring doorbell hardwired in, I previously had to charge the battery, since it’s been hardwired I can’t enable the microphone to allow me to speak to the person at the door if I’m not able to get there? Do I need to reset something? The microphone symbol is there but not highlighted so that I can turn it on ?

    Hi @user15972. I would first check your phones permissions and ensure that the Ring app has microphone access. Second, in the Ring app, select your Doorbell and tap on the Device Settings menu, then the Privacy Settings to check if you have Audio Streaming and Recording selected. Let me know if this works!
