Existing Video doorbell solar panel not compatible with newly purchased 2024 release Ring Video doorbell (model 5F97F2)
Anyone know what the solar panel specs are to make it compatible with 2024 release Ring Video doorbell (model 5F97F2) please, as the existing one that I used for my previous version (plugged in via micro usb) doesn't work now, even if I connect it using the 2 screws for power, rather than a micro usb -> usb C adapter ? I'm presuming the panel needs a different power output to charge the battery now ? Cheers !

Hi neighbors. You will need the correct Solar Chagrer for the Doorbell you have. If it is not the correct Solar Charger you will not be able to make it work.

THi @user_5d847c. You can find the specific name for your doorbell in the Device Health menu. Our products do not use the model number for device compatibilities. You can find Solar Chargers here:

UI’m having the same issue as to which solar charger will work. When I check under Device Health it simply states “ Battery Doorbell”, no other specific name or information.
