Hi there @Craigpat I got given a Ring doorbell 1 yesterday that I know has been dropped many times whilst being removed for charging, it has the same issue! though the picture quality is good it it has the same tunnel vision as per your picture. I am guessing your thoughts are correct as in the camera may have been dislodged & moved back giving that rounded look. I will dismantle this one over the weekend as take a look & report back unless of course you have already resolved this issue.. Best regards

Hi I had my Ring Video Doorbell 3 installed yesterday on my front door and the picture has a ring around it. As far as I am aware it has never been dropped while in my possession as just came out of the box and straight onto the front door. The wifi router is literally 5 feet away from Ring Video Doorbell 3, on the same wall as the front door and signal is strong Am confused as my neighbour does not have the ring around the image on his Ring Video Doorbell and the image on mine has a ring around it. Also, how far will the angle back tilt the image downward as I can not see the steps of my house where parcels are sometimes left and have too much sky or is there another way of changing the angle of the image such as less goldfish bowl more normal view. They must have sent out a bunch of defective ring doorbells. I got mine this year in 2024 paid over a hundred dollars and the picture is awful with the same ring around it. My best friend has the same doorbell and her picture is amazing. I got mine off HSN…so disappointing I’ve bought every kind of doorbell security camera and each one was junk. I have 4 blink doorbell cameras that I had to take down as they rarely worked. I decided to buy the ring doorbell after my best friend had one and she got one with an amazing picture… very frustrating. Ive had the junk kangaroos although they completely are junk they helped me press charges on someone breaking and entering. Too much money invested after 4 blink doorbells and other devices.

I have just installed a new generation 3 ring door bell and my view is the same as the above picture. How can I change it. My previous ring door bell was fine

Same issue - my original broke then they sent a chunk of flimsy plastic with a shocking view - the round circle with grey around the edge! Cheap and nasty, over an hour with support and basically - couldn’t care less!! Absolutely rubbish post ‘upgrades’ the old device didn’t cut out part of my drive - new one does! But apparently nothing wrong with it lol???
