I recently bought a spotlight cam plus battery. I can not get it to indicate that it is detecting a person. The settings are correct. It is just saying it is motion and not sending an alert. I do not want regular motion sending alerts because of animals and birds.  I have tried rebooting. I have 2 first Gen cams and they work fine detecting person and sending alerts. Not sure what to do.

    Hi @DavidW. The feature you're referring to would be Smart Alerts, which is available with a Ring Protect plan. You can learn more about this feature here, including steps on how to set up person detection. Please keep in mind that depending on the lighting and angle, it may not register a motion as a person.

      Yes I had smart alerts set up. I was just trying it out before i put it in place. It is working fine. Not sure what was going on but issue resolved
