Exchange just camera and not mount?

Question

I recently purchased a battery spotlight camera, not knowing you can‘t customize the motion zones like my doorbell (that should really be made obvious as I never would’ve purchased the battery version). I bought it on Amazon, and while I’m still in my return window I don’t want to remove the mount and send it back in order to exchange for the wired camera. Is there a way to just exchange the camera itself without the mount?

The mount on the Spotlight Cam Battery is part of the installation kit, so we'd recommend checking with Amazon's return policies to verify if all installation parts need to be included in a return.
