Subscription cancelled or maybe not?
I had a single camera from Ring and added a second one in August 2024. Within the free 30 days of protect with the new device, I cancelled my existing one camera subscription and took out protect plus for both cameras.
The cancellation was at the end of August or beginning of September. I know this because I took out the new plan at the same time and that started on 3rd September.
I believed that I would get an automatic refund of the unused policy. That's only about £12 or so, being 4 months of the £36 odd quid.
No refund arrived, so I checked the status of my protect plan and find that I only have the £8 per month protect plus plan, because the single plan had been cancelled.
So tonight I contact support via a messenger chat. They say that their bulling depth have said the plan hasn't been cancelled. They cancelled ot tonight and refund me £6.35 for unused plan from today.
Now it's only £6 but it's wrong on all levels.
The single plan did not show on my account because I had already cancelled it.
Apparently Ring don't have a complaints department and they are not listening to me.
I guess I have donated my £6 to a needy multinational company.
Is there any way to raise a complaint in the UK?
I am not going to let it drop as it's a matter of principle and companies abuse their loyal customer base on too many occasions believing we do not have recourse.
