Issues with Using Chime Pro as Wifi Extender

I've got a new ring doorbell and chime plus, I wanted to use the chime plus as a wifi extender.  I was on support 3 times (twice cut off) and we couldn't find a solution.  

Basically the issue is this, the Chime Plus is connected to my network, no problem.  I then try to change the network of my Ring Doorbell so that it links to the Chime Plus as a wifi extender.  Everything is fine until it comes to choosing a network, the Chime Plus doesn't come up as Chime Plus.  When I was interacting with the AI help, it said that I needed another tile to appear on my Device of the Chime Plus to say network, after resetting several times it just doesn't come up.  Finally Customer Support said I have to reset all my home WIFI, which seems ludicrous to me.  Everything else works perfectly.  Then they told me I would have to contact my provider and they would be able to tell me what the Chime Pro is coming up as.  If anyone out there could give me some help/support on this I'd be grateful.
