Much shorter battery life for all my ring devices
What has changed since June? I have two ring devices, a front yard Ring 2 doorbell camera and a backyard stick-up camera. Both run on genuine Ring batteries. I used to get a solid 3 months per charge. Now, for both devices, I'm getting at most 2 weeks on a charge. I just bought 2 replacement batteries, thinking both of my old ones suddenly stopped being able to hold a charge, but still the same issue. I didn't change any of the motion settings for either device, still using all recommended settings. I am not experiencing weak network connectivity. Was this the result of a defective firmware upgrade?

Sometime around the beginning of August, that battery life for all of my Ring devices (front doorbell and backyard camera) got much, much better. What was an approximately 2 week cycle is now more like 4 months. Although I can't prove it, I'm convinced these changes were the result of firmware updates automatically downloaded to my devices. In any case, I'm grateful the issue appears to have been resolved.
