Do I need to replace alarm motion sensor battery when it says ‘low battery’
troubleshooting

I only spotted one of my 2nd gen motion sensor says ‘low battery’ when looking under alarm devices in the Ring App. No emails or notifications were sent, as they are when the alarm goes into away or disarm modes.Do I need to change the batteries now or can I wait until it says to?…. I spent over an hour looking in FAQs and googling - but couldn’t find anything as to when to change the batteries.

As I don’t seem to be able to reply to @Justin_Ring below I decided to add a comment here…… thanks for the link below Justin - it was for the contact sensors and not the motion but I’ll assume it’s the same advice. As user @63814 suggested I’ll change each year, for me they seem to last 15 months, but might as well……. my main concern is you don’t get any warning notification or email - as I did when removing from the wall so received a ‘tamper’ notification and email. It just seems amis that warnings are not sent out for low battery, this is really important…… you only see the ‘low battery’ symbol when drilling down from the Dashboard to Devices then Alarm System.I’ll add this as a feature change request, which I see I can do. As the ‘system’ knows a battery is low, why not tell the user?

As I don’t seem to be able to reply to @Justin_Ring above I decided to add a comment here, as I did last time.I’d already checked in Settings, Alert Settings, Alarm and Low Battery is set on, as are all options. While I get them, E-MAIL and PUSH for others like Tamper etc I didn’t get any for Low Battery for my Motion Sensor even though in the status there was a red Low Battery. As others have said they don’t get them perhaps this would be looked into?
