Video Doorbell 4 Wifi Connecting Failure
I had to get a new Spectrum router & modem for my wifi due a lightning strike near my flat. I cannot get my doorbell camera 4 to connect to the new set-up. I've tried every thing under the sun, I change the wifi frequency 2.4 GHz to connect it, I've contacted my internet provider who told me to stand far away from the router to set it up. I've deactivated and tried setting it up as a new device, but each time it stops at 95% set up and fails. Sometimes after it does the right part of the circle flashes white at me. I've factory reset this from the orange button on the front. I've moved the device closer to the door, even though my flat is not big and range isn't an issue. I did not have any issues connecting my other ring products to this router and wifi. Is there any way to get this to connect? Consistent code given each time is P7-07. Update: reviewed this article > https://ring.com/gb/en/support/articles/nqhe0/Understanding-doorbell-light-patterns, updated and confirmed that my wifi didn't use any special characters and still received error code P7-07.

The exact thing happened with me in the same situation with the new router. Gets to 95% and. . .same outcome every time. FRUSTRATING. Gonna try this hotspot method to see if it works.

CHi @user_877156. Let us know how that hotspot test works. If you can also share which model of Ring device you have, that would be helpful for troubleshooting purposes.

I have a Ring Spot light Cam Pro that is getting this P7-07 error tried everything support told me to do before they hung up on me and still this camera will not connect to wifi. This is past frustrating there is so little information to go off of.
UPDATE
I was using a spectrum supplied router and of course it wasn't working or allowing the connection from the ring camera. So I went and got my previous wireless router and hooked it up , updated the firmware and instantly it started working. No p7-07 error just automatically connected and started working. Now the ring camera did update soon as I got it connected and I haven't tried to reconnect it to the spectrum router and honestly thats to much work and I'm not going to unless I buy a new camera.

Hi @user_ee5532. Here is something that you can try that will give you insight on the situation. Try connecting the device to a wifi hotspot. If it connects, there's a network issue. If it doesn't, it's likely a device issue. Let me know how this goes for you.
