Very poor quality plastics - Not fit for purpose

As you can clearly see the plastics on the door bell have become brittle, cracking on the body itself and the button has degraded and has split open.  I this is due to poor quality plastics used, most likely damaged by UV.  This is shocking or a door bell that is just a few years old. Im in the UK where we don’t get months of sunshine, so how bad can these plastics be?  I can only hope Ring read this and do the right thing by replacing it.
